St. John's University Athletics Celebrates 100 Years of Men's Basketball

St. John’s University Athletics, led by Hall of Fame Coach Lou Carnesecca, alumni and donors, visits the NYSE to celebrate the 100th year of its men’s basketball program. In honor of the occasion, Hall of Fame Coach Lou Carnesecca rings The Closing Bell®.

The centennial celebration, which kicked off with the 2007-2008 basketball season, has been highlighted by several halftime presentations honoring individuals who have contributed to the great legacy of St. John’s University Men’s Basketball. In addition, special features like the 100th anniversary website, www.RedStormSports.com, 100th anniversary apparel and a coffee table book featuring rare photos and behind-the-scenes interviews with some of the most influential people in St. John’s basketball history, are available for college basketball fans of all ages to enjoy.  The year-long celebration concludes with St. John’s final home game on March 8 at Madison Square Garden versus West Virginia.
