Principles for Responsible Investment
The principles will provide a global framework for integrating environmental, social and governance criteria into investment analysis and ownership practices and will align international investment practices with the goals of the United Nations, including sustainable development. The principles, which are designed for large mainstream investors, were developed in a nearly year-long process convened by the UN Secretary-General and facilitated by the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative and the UN Global Compact.
