Sunset Financial Resources, Inc. (NYSE-Listed SFO) visits the NYSE to celebrate its initial public offering on March 17, 2004.  In honor of the occasion, John Bert Watson, Chairman, President & CEO, rings The Opening BellSM.

Sunset Financial Resources, Inc. is a self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT) that was formed in October 2003 to acquire a portfolio of high quality residential mortgage loans and commercial mortgage bridge loans in the United States. The company’s principal business objective is to generate net income for distribution to our stockholders from the spread between interest income on our mortgage assets and the costs of financing the acquisition of these assets. Sunset Financial Resources will elect to be taxed as a REIT commencing with their taxable year ending December 31, 2004.
