NYSE Euronext completed its acquisition of the American Stock Exchange (Amex) on October 1, 2008. Post merger, the Amex equities business was branded NYSE Alternext US . Since then the NYSE Euronext has embarked on a global branding exercise to align the naming protocol for its various assets globally. As part of the rebranding exercise, as well as significant feedback we received from our customers, issuers and member firms, we have made the decision to rebrand NYSE Alternext US as NYSE Amex Equities.
