JOHN K. HALVEY
General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Halvey is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of NYSE Euronext and serves on its Management Committee.
He joined NYSE Euronext in March 2008. Prior to that, he was a corporate partner with the international law firm of Milbank, Tweed , Hadley & McCloy, LLP, from 1994 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2008. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Halvey was Executive Vice President of Safeguard Scientifics, Inc.
Mr. Halvey has practiced in all areas of corporate, technology and intellectual property law, with particular emphasis on information technology and business process related transactions and private equity transactions involving technology companies.
Mr. Halvey is a graduate of Tufts University , Emory University School of Business, and Emory University School of Law.
