Mr. Ford has been a Director of NYSE Group since December 1, 2005 and served as a Director of Archipelago from November 2003 to March 7, 2006, the date on which the merger of the NYSE and Archipelago was completed.
Mr. Ford is Chief Executive Officer and a Managing Director of General Atlantic LLC, a global private equity firm that provides capital for innovative companies where information technology or intellectual property is a key driver of growth. Mr. Ford has been with General Atlantic LLC since 1991. Investment entities affiliated with General Atlantic LLC own approximately 5.3% of NYSE Group’s currently outstanding common stock.
Mr. Ford also serves as a Director of NYMEX Holdings, Inc. and Computershare Limited.
