Executives and guests of Dublin-based Covidien will visit the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to celebrate the successful spinoff of its Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals business. (NYSE: MNK).
To mark this occasion, José (Joe) E. Almeida, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Covidien plc, will ring The NYSE Closing Bell, joined by members of the company’s management team.
Covidien will complete the distribution of Mallinckrodt ordinary shares after the close of trading on the NYSE on June 28, 2013.
On July 1, 2013, regular-way trading will commence on the NYSE for Mallinckrodt under the symbol "MNK" and will continue for Covidien under the symbol "COV."
