| USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (USANA) develops and manufactures high-quality, science-based nutritional and personal care products. The Company's customer base consists of two types of customer: Associates and Preferred Customers. Associates are independent distributors of its products who also purchase its products for their personal use. Preferred Customers purchase its products for their personal use and are not permitted to resell or to distribute the products. As of January 1, 2011, USANA had approximately 228,000 active Associates and approximately 77,000 active Preferred Customers worldwide. Its product lines consist of USANA Nutritionals and Sense-beautiful science (Sense), a line of skin and personal care products. The USANA Nutritionals product line is categorized into three separate classifications: Essentials, Optimizers, and Foods. On August 16, 2010, the Company indirectly acquired 100% of BabyCare Ltd. |
