| TAM SA is a Brazil-based company providing scheduled air transportation in both domestic and international markets. The Company operates scheduled passenger and cargo routes to such destinations as the United States (New York and Miami), Europe (Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt, Milan) and South America (Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lima), in addition to the domestic destinations through partnerships with regional airlines. In the fiscal year ended December 31, 2007, the Company carried approximately 24.1 million passengers in domestic flights and approximately 3.7 million passengers in international flights. In 2007, the Company obtained a domestic market share of 48.9%, while the share in the international market was 67.5%. The Company operates through its subsidiaries: TAM Linhas Aereas SA, TP Participacoes and Transportes Aereos del Mercosur SA. |
