| Solutia Inc. is a global manufacturer and marketer of a variety of chemical and engineered materials that are used in a range of consumer and industrial applications. The Company maintains a global infrastructure consisting of 29 manufacturing facilities, eight technical centers and over 30 sales offices globally, including 20 facilities in the United States. Its segments are Performance Products and Integrated Nylon. In June 2008, Solutia Inc. announced the establishment of its Saflex Photovoltaic business, which serves the market for thin-film solar panels. Solutia also announced that it has sold its 260,000-square-foot office building in Town & Country, Mo., to Bluerock Real Estate, LLC. In November 2007, CPFilms purchased certain assets of Acquired Technology, Inc., which provides technology to help develop CPFilms' product portfolio. In February 2008, the Company announced that it has emerged from bankruptcy. |
