The Company targets a global customer base, consisting of fabless semiconductor companies, and systems and other companies. During the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company engaged 77 new customers, bringing the total number of its customers to 401. During 2007, SMIC's largest and five largest customers accounted for approximately 14% and 48.2%, of the Company's total overall sales. During 2007, its revenue by region was led by North America at 42.5%, then Europe at 21.2%, then Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) at 26.5%, and Japan at 9.8%. |
