| Regal Entertainment Group (Regal) is the parent company of Regal Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (REH). The Company's business includes theatre exhibition operations. Regal develops, acquires and operates multi-screen theaters primarily in mid-sized metropolitan markets and suburban growth areas of metropolitan markets throughout the United States. During the fiscal year ended December 30, 2010 (fiscal 2010), the Company operated in the District of Columbia with over 224 million attendees. It operates multi-screen theaters and has an average of 12.4 screens per location. On May 24, 2010 and June 24, 2010, the Company acquired eight theaters with 106 screens located in Illinois, Indiana and Colorado from an affiliate of AMC Entertainment, Inc. (AMC). As of December 30, 2010, the Company held a 46.7% economic interest in Digital Cinema Implementation Partners, LLC (DCIP). |
