| KeyCorp is a bank holding company. KeyCorp is the parent holding company for KeyBank National Association (KeyBank), its principal subsidiary, through which its banking services are provided. Through KeyBank and certain other subsidiaries, the Company provides a range of retail and commercial banking, commercial leasing, investment management, consumer finance and investment banking products and services to individual, corporate and institutional clients through two business segments: Key Community Bank and Key Corporate Bank. As of December 31, 2010, these services were provided across the country through its 1,033 retail banking branches in 14 states, additional offices, a telephone banking call center services group and a network of 1,531 automated teller machines (ATMs) in fifteen states. On December 31, 2010, it sold all of the net assets of the Tuition Management Systems business (TMS) to a wholly owned subsidiary of Boston-based First Marblehead Corporation. |
