| iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Russell 2000 Index (the Index). The Index measures the performance of the small-capitalization sector of the United States equity market. The Index is capitalization-weighted and consists of the 2000 smallest companies in the Russell 3000 Index. The Fund invests in sectors, such as financial services, technology, consumer discretionary, producer durables, healthcare, materials and processing, energy, utilities, consumer staples and S-T securities.
