iShares S&P MidCap 400 Index Fund

Company Description
The iShares Core S&P Mid-Cap ETF (the Fund), formerly iShares S&P MidCap 400 Index Fund, seeks investment results that correspond to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the United States mid-cap stocks, as represented by the Standard & Poor's MidCap 400 (the Underlying Index). The Underlying Index measures the performance of the mid-capitalization sector of the United States equity market. The Underlying Index consists of stocks from a range of industries. Components include financial, industrials, and information technology companies. The Fund invests at least 90% of its assets in securities of the Underlying Index and in depository receipts representing securities of the Underlying Index. It will concentrate its investments (that is holds 25% or more of its total assets) in a particular industry or group of industries, which may include large-, mid-, or small small-capitalization companies. BlackRock Fund Advisors (BFA) is the investment adviser of the Fund.
