| iShares Barclays Government/Credit Bond Fund (the Fund), seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the United States Government and investment-grade corporate securities of the United States bond market as defined by the Barclays Capital U.S. Government/Credit Bond Index (the Index). The Index measures the performance of United States dollar-denominated United States Treasuries, government-related, and investment-grade United States corporate securities that have a remaining maturity of greater than or equal to one year. In addition, the securities have $250 million or more of outstanding face value and must be fixed-rate and non-convertible securities. The Fund's investment advisor is BlackRock Fund Advisors. |
