The Company has five segments that fall within two primary business groups, financial services and information technology (IT). The financial services group includes its title insurance and services segment and its specialty insurance segment. The First American Corporation's mortgage information, property information and risk mitigation and business solutions segments comprise its information technology group.In January 2007, the Company's subsidiary, First American Title Insurance Company, acquired Complete Title Services, LLC, a provider of title insurance and tax-deferred exchange services in North/Central Minnesota. In February 2007, the Company combined its property data and related analytics businesses with CoreLogic Systems, Inc. In October 2007, the Company acquired Proxix Solutions. |
