Enersis S.A. (Enersis) is an electricity utility company. Through its principal subsidiaries and related companies, the Company is primarily engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru. The Company's subsidiaries are Chilectra S.A., Empresa Nacional de Electricidad S.A. (Endesa Chile), Pehuenche S.A. and Aguas Santiago Poniente S.A. During the year ended December 31, 2007, the Company's consolidated electricity production was 54,440 gigawatt hours. The Company's electricity distribution business is conducted in Chile through Chilectra S.A. (Chilectra); in Argentina through Empresa Distribuidora Sur S.A. (Edesur); in Brazil through Ampla Energia e Servicos S.A. (Ampla) and Companhia Energetica do Ceará S.A. (Coelce) (owned by Endesa Brasil); in Colombia through Codensa S.A. E.S.P. (Codensa), and in Peru through Empresa de Distribucion Electrica de Lima Norte S.A.A. (Edelnor).
