| E-House (China) Holdings Limited (E-House), through its subsidiaries and consolidated variable interest entity, is engaged in providing real estate agency and brokerage services in the primary and secondary markets, and real estate consulting and information services and real estate advertising services in the People's Republic of China. The Company has sold an aggregate of approximately 13.1 million square meters of primary properties. It operates through a network of over 3,500 real estate sales professionals. The Company provides five types of services: primary real estate agency services, secondary real estate brokerage services, real estate consulting and information services, real estate advertising services, and real estate investment fund management. As of December 31, 2008, the Company had sales offices in 28 cities. In October 2008, the Company acquired a 100% interest in Guangzhou Integrated Residential Building Industry Facility Co., Ltd.
