Its subsidiaries are responsible for 39,453 MW of the installed capacity of electric power generation in Brazil, through 29 hydroelectric plants, 15 thermoelectric plants and two thermonuclear plants. Additionally, the Company is responsible for approximately 60,000 kilometers of transmission lines and 237 substations. The Company is present in other countries of South America, such as Argentina, Uruguay and Venezuela. The Company holds direct shareholding control in seven electric power generation and transmission companies, including Furnas Centrais Eletricas SA - FURNAS and Amazonas Energia - AME and four electric power distribution companies, including Companhia de Eletricidade do Acre - Eletroacre and Centrais Eletricas de Rondonia - Ceron. The Company is also the controlling shareholder of Eletrobras Participacoes SA - Eletropar, among others.
