| DuPont Fabros Technology, Inc. (DFT) owns, develops, operates and manages wholesale data centers. DFT's data centers are specialized, secure facilities used by its tenants, primarily national and international technology companies, to house, power and cool the computer servers that support many of its business processes. DFT leases the raised square footage and available power of each of the Company's facilities to its tenants under long-term triple-net leases. DFT completed an initial public offering (IPO) of its common shares on October 24, 2007. As part of the IPO, DFT acquired four stabilized data centers located in Northern Virginia, a prototype ground-up development in Northern Virginia, one data center under development in suburban Chicago, undeveloped properties in Northern Virginia, and a contract to acquire land in Santa Clara, California. DFT closed on the acquisition of land in Santa Clara in December 2007. |
