Comcast Corporation is a cable operator in the United States and offers a variety of consumer entertainment and communication products and services. It operates in two segments: Cable, which manages and operates cable systems, including video, Internet and phone services, regional sports and news networks, and Programming consists of the Company's six national programming networks: E!, Style, The Golf Channel, VERSUS, G4 and AZN Television. Its Other Business interests include Comcast Spectacor, which owns the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia 76ers and two large multipurpose arenas in Philadelphia. As of December 31, 2006, the Company's cable systems served approximately 23.4 million video subscribers, 11 million Internet subscribers and 2.4 million phone subscribers and passed approximately 45.7 million homes in 39 states and the District of Columbia. During the year ended December 31, 2006, it acquired the 39.5% interest in E! Entertainment Television that was not already owned.
