NYSE Euronext and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Investor Education and Advocacy have partnered together to help educators teach students about the financial marketplace and its importance in their lives and the global economy.
The Teachers' Workshop program is designed to give educators a thorough understanding of the capital raising process, the NYSE's market system, technology, and regulation and surveillance. Educational materials and workshops enable teachers to translate the information to classroom curricula.
The 5-day Teachers’ Workshop is both intense and exciting. It includes speakers from NYSE Euronext staff and constituents, lecture-discussion sessions, support materials, hands-on activities and field trips. Teachers also visit the trading floor, where they interface with market professionals. Teacher workshops provide a learning opportunity for educators, enabling them to share experiences and develop new curriculum approaches.
Two Graduate Programs will also be offered for educators who have previously completed the full Teachers’ Workshop:
- The SEC Graduate Program is designed to examine the federal government’s interaction with the financial markets.
- The NYSE Euronext Graduate Program will increase teacher understanding of complex market activities.

Location
The Teacher’s Workshop and the NYSE Euronext Graduate Program are held at the New York Stock Exchange. The SEC Graduate Program is held in Washington , DC.
Registration
Cost per participant for the 5-day Teachers’ Workshop is $150. There is no fee for either the SEC or NYSE Euronext Graduate Programs. Additional details and a form to register for the workshops:
