NYSE Euronext Business Analyst Program Overview
NYSE Euronext will be hiring into its business analyst program starting in the summer of 2009. Analysts in the program will be placed into one of several global business groups, such as: U.S. Cash Equities, Global Corporate Listings, Corporate Finance and Global Market Information. Upon hiring, you will be expected learn quickly and contribute at a senior level. This program is designed to train the future leaders of NYSE Euronext across business lines. As such, you will work closely with senior management, take on advanced responsibilities, interface with clients, perform critical strategic and financial analyses, and acquire a comprehensive knowledge of financial markets.
You will gain valuable and highly marketable skills in every aspect of business management within your group. You will be a part of a collegial corporate culture where team-based projects are the norm. The analyst program will enable you to learn our business from the ground up, using that knowledge to contribute to the continued success of NYSE Euronext.
As an analyst you will:
- Work closely with senior clients, attorneys and representatives from other institutions.
- Evaluate strategic and tactical business opportunities for NYSE Euronext, including mergers, acquisitions and product diversification.
- Analyze current business activities relative to the competitive landscape.
- Actively participate in sales pitches to win new corporate listings.
- Develop working relationships with buy and sell side clients.
- Gain an in depth knowledge of the rapidly transforming securities industry and its products.
- Be well prepared to move into a permanent position in your global business unit.
Candidate Requirements
Candidates should be highly motivated team players who posses exceptional analytical, leadership communication, and quantitative skills. Prospective applicants should have a continued record of academic excellence and sustained involvement in extracurricular activities. A successful applicant will also have a demonstrated interest in financial markets and previous work experience relevant to the position.
The Selection Process
NYSE Euronext will be interviewing at selected campuses nationwide. Please submit a cover letter and resumé to your career services office. Interviews will be by invitation only. Qualified candidates will be invited for a second round of interviews at the NYSE Euronext global corporate headquarters at the New York Stock Exchange.
